Rest in Peace Young Skyrme.

A sad loss. Will miss that dry sense of humour, observational wit and wide knowledge - of most things in life. You said it as it was and we both laughed. Vince

Please accept this donation made in memory of Mike, in lieu of flowers. We are and always will be very grateful for Mike’s many years of dedicated contributions as a Professional Member, the Official Representative for BAE System’s Industrial Membership and as volunteer with The Welding Institute. His unwavering commitment, generosity of spirit, and passion for supporting both his colleagues and industry as a whole, has left a lasting impact. His valuable input to both Professional Board, Research Board, Council, QHSE Committee, and the Trailblazer Employer Group has contributed to the continued progress of the institute. This donation is made in honour of a life that gave much to others. Our thoughts are with Mike’s family and loved ones during this difficult time, and we hope you may find some comfort in knowing how much Mike was respected and appreciated within the entire welding community. With sympathy, All staff at The Welding Institute & TWI

A tragic loss of a friend and former work colleague. You reached the top in Welding Engineering despite being told at school that you wouldn’t achieve much in life. You showed them Mike. Rest in peace. Love Norman & Julie
