Passed away peacefully on 24th October 2026 at Furness General Hospital, aged 81 years, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Peter Cowley and much-loved partner of Michael Greaves. Cherished mother of David, Rick and Keima. A dearly loved nana to Samuel, Thomas, Robin, Reahannah, Poppy, Jemma and Nicolle, and a treasured great-grandmother to Shannyn, Logan, James, Pippa, Bailey, Lexon, Aubrey, Holly, Ruby and Evie. Irene will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. A service to celebrate her life will take place at Thorncliffe Crematorium on Friday 6th November 2026 at 1.00pm. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, in Irene's memory to Bay Hospital Charities Local Palliative Care Nurses (Macmillan Nurses) in thanks for their care of Rick.
